On May 3rd, it’s been reported that Jay Park met with Black Eyed Peas‘ Will.i.am, who was visiting Seoul. The meeting between a famous producer and one of the top idol singers in Korea has received the attention of many fans.
So why did the meeting take place? Well, there has been speculation that Jay would advance into the American market with the help of Will.i.am, considering that Jay was born and raised in the States and was fluent in English.
Jay revealed, “My manager in the States and Will.i.am are good friends, and we met for personal reasons. We talked about our common interest in music. I’m thinking of advancing into the American market, but we didn’t discuss the details nor talk about working together. Will.i.am did say that it would be nice if I came to Los Angeles.”Ironically, Jay was recently in Los Angeles for the Korean Music Festival at Hollywood Bowl.
