Alicia Silverstone gives birth to a baby boy

Alicia Silverstone has given birth to a baby boy, whom she named Bear Blu.

The 34-year-old actress and her husband Christopher Jarecki, 40, welcomed their first child into the world on May 5, and her spokesperson has confirmed the name of the tot, also revealing he weighed in at 7lbs 15oz.

The representative added: "Mom and Dad are completely in love with their beautiful baby boy."

Before getting pregnant, Alicia made no secret of her desire to have a baby, and admitted wearing a pregnancy fat suit for her part in the critically acclaimed Broadway play Time Stands Still made her even more broody.

She previously said: "Wearing a pregnancy suit was so much fun. I loved the feeling of pretending to be pregnant and having little arms and legs and this big belly.

"I've been wanting to have a baby since I was two years old—I'm destined to be a mother."

Alicia, 34, and Chris, 40, wed in June 2005 on the shores of Lake Tahoe, California, after dating for eight years.

Justin Bieber brands brat claims "lame"

Justin Bieber has hit back at claims he was a 'brat' on the set of 'CSI: Crime Scene Investigation'.

The 17-year-old superstar - who made a guest appearance in the drama TV series playing troubled teen Jason McCann, who was shot dead, in the series finale - insisted he would continue to be kind' about show cast and crew, but felt it 'lame' that actress Marg Helgenberger had spoken out to criticise his conduct.

He tweeted: 'It's kinda lame when someone you met briefly and never worked with comments on you. I will continue to wish them luck and be kind.

'I know who I am and sometimes people r just going 2 say what they want. Keep ur head up and be the man ur mama raised.

'Rumors are just that...rumors. In the end if you just be kind and be yourself people will know who you are. That goes for anyone I think.' (sic)'

Marg - who plays CSI investigator Catherine Willows in the show - had claimed in an interview that the teenage singer had locked a producer in a cupboard and ruined a cake during his brief stint on the programme.

She said: 'I shouldn't be saying this but he was kind of a brat.

'He was very nice to me. But he locked one of the producers in a closet and he put his fist through a cake that was on the cast's table.'

Despite Justin's conduct on set, Marg, 52, insists he is a competent actor - especially for someone with no prior experience.

She said: 'Justin Bieber wasn't bad. He'd never acted before ... He's better than you'd think.'

Whitney Houston receiving rehab treatment

Whitney Houston is seeking help for drug and alcohol problems.

The 47-year-old singer—who has a history of substance abuse issues—voluntarily entered an out-patient rehab program around 10 days ago, her spokesperson has confirmed.

The representative told People.com: "Whitney Houston is currently in an out-patient rehab program for drug and alcohol treatment.

"Whitney voluntarily entered the program to support her long-standing recovery process."

A source told website TMZ: "She's cleansing herself to get ready for a new movie."

According to the website, the treatment program allows Whitney—who was pictured at a Prince concert last weekend—to go out in public as long as she has a monitor.

In 2009, Whitney confessed to being a cocaine addict herself in TV interview with Oprah Winfrey and admitted her and ex-husband Bobby Brown's drug use spiralled out of control after she starred in hit movie The Bodyguard in 1992.

She said: "Me and Bobby were lacing our marijuana with base. We would buy a kilo. We were not pipe smoking.

"You roll it up and you smoke it in your weed. It's almost like heroin cocaine speedballs but you level it off with marijuana."

Earlier this year, Whitney and Bobby's daughter Bobbi Kristina, 18, were accused of being a cocaine addict by a former boyfriend but denied his claims.

MOVIE COMEBACK. Whitney is also set to return to the big screen for the first time in 15 years.

The 47-year-old singer-and-actress will be reuniting with her former Waiting To Exhale castmates to create a sequel to the 1995 hit movie, in which she played unlucky-in-love television producer Savannah Jackson.

Angela Bassett—who portrayed Bernadine Harris in the film—explained director Forest Whitaker is in the process of altering author-and-screenwriter Terry McMillan's follow-up to the movie.

Speaking on TV show The Talk, she said: "It's preliminary, but it's going to happen,Waiting to Exhale 2. McMillan wrote Getting to Happy and she's written the screenplay... Loretta Devine, Lela Rochon, Whitney, Forest. Forest is working on the script now."

Meanwhile, it was recently revealed 1992 hit movie The Bodyguard—which starred Whitney and Kevin Costner and took $411 million at the worldwide box office—is to be remade by Warner Bros.

While Whitney—who hasn't appeared in a film since The Preacher's Wife in 1996—won't be appearing in the remake, producers are keen to get a young female singer with global appeal and give her the platform that The Bodyguard provided Whitney.

Beyonce Knowles and Rihanna are two names which have been linked to the project.

Lindsay Lohan pleases shelter staff for her "professionalism"

Lindsay Lohan was "very professional" on the first day of her community service.

The troubled actress—who began her 360 hours of court-ordered work on Friday (May 6)—delighted staff at Los Angeles Downtown Women's Center (DWC) with her positive attitude and caring display towards the homeless people at the facility.

A source told RadarOnline.com: "Staffers didn't know what to expect, but Lindsay showed up and was thoroughly engaged during the day.

"Lindsay was truly humbled. Staffers had her sort through donations and talk to the clients. Lindsay was especially moved by the children of these homeless women."

Despite her celebrity status, 24-year-old Lindsay—who was ordered to work at the facility as part of a 480 hour community service sentence handed to her last month for breaking the terms of her 2007 probation after she was recently charged with stealing a necklace from a Californian boutique—insisted on no special treatment and was happy to undertake the tasks she was given.

The insider added: "Some people want to get their hours done with as little effort as possible.

"This doesn't seem to be the case with Lindsay. The women were initially excited to meet Lindsay because she is a celebrity, but that wore off very quickly and Lindsay has made it clear to everyone that she doesn't expect nor want any special treatment."

As well as 360 hours at the homeless shelter, the Machete actress has also been ordered to undergo 120 hours of janitorial work at the Los Angeles County Morgue.

She was also sentenced to 120 days in prison, which she has been bailed from.

Lindsay is due to return to court on Wednesday (May 11) for a pre-trial hearing.

The Daily Mail speculates Kate Middleton and Prince William left for the island nation of Seychelles, located in the Indian Ocean east of Africa, spanning an archipelago of 115 breathtaking islands

The newlyweds will stay in an exclusive villa costing more than $6,500 a night and are believed to have traveled by private jet yesterday, followed by a helicopter ride from the mainland to the romantic island.

miss A releases “Love Alone” MV!

As reported earlier, miss A recently released a digital single “Love Alone”, which was specially produced for Kim Yuna’s “Ice Show“.

This trendy pop song which features a repetitive chorus and an overall powerful feel, was produced by a famous American producer named Fuego, who previously composed Jasun DeRulo’s 2009 Billboard hit, “Watcha Say.” The song was written by Ursula Yancy of Rihanna’s “Skin“, and was recorded completely in English to maintain the original feel of the song.

The group later followed up with a performance of their new song at the event, and it quickly became an instant hit on various music sites, with fans asking for a MV to be released.

Angel Locsin recalls how Aga Muhlach took care of her while doing their love scenes together

Angel Locsin looked lovely in her red dress with narrow lace sleeves as she walked down the red carpet for the May 10 premiere of In the Name of Love.

In this romantic drama, she plays Mercedes, a woman who becomes involved in a dangerous love triangle with the characters played byAga Muhlach and Jake Cuenca.

The ABS-CBN actress felt very satisfied with their movie, which was partly shot in Japan.

"Kanina nga, hindi kami makahinga, kaming tatlo [referring to herself, Aga, and Jake].

"Sobrang excited kami na mapanood namin ang film na ito.

"Hindi ko pa nakikita kahit na-dub ko na. First time talaga.

"Iba yung pakiramdam na [makita] ang pinaghirapan mo. Ganun pala ang magiging 'itsura.

"Alam ko isang henyo ang isang Olive Lamasan [their director], pero di ko akalain na ganito pala ang mangyayari.

"Kahit ako na umaarte at kasama ko sila ng isang taon, hindi ko ine-expect na ganito pala.

"To Direk Olive, sobrang saludo po ako sa inyo."

What is her reaction to comments from fellow stars who said that her acting was very different since it was subdued and that she mostly used her eyes to convey her emotions?

Angel replied, "Masayang-masaya po kasi nahirapan talaga ako sa schedule ko dahil kasabay ng Imortal, at sa sobrang laki ng proyektong ito, nakaka-intimidate talaga.

"Para mapuri ka ng mga kasama mo sa trabaho, malaking bagay para sa akin."

LOVE SCENE WITH AGA. With regards to her much-talked about love scene in the movie, Angel admits, "Ito ang mga bagay na hindi ko ginagawa dahil hindi ako kumportable."

Would she consider this to be her most daring role for a movie?

She quipped, "Yes, yes. This is it!"

What made her accept this daring role?

She pointed out that she agreed because of the fact that the movie would be helmed by veteran director Olivia Lamasan.

She then added, "Mahirap kasi pag hindi ka kumportable sa katrabaho mo.

"Si Aga, siya pa ang nagpa-panic. [Tinatanong niya], 'Okay ka na ba? Safe ka na ba? Covered ka na ba?'

"Ako, relaxed lang ako kasi wala na kong ibang iisipin kasi siya na ang nagpa-panic for me. Sobrang gentleman talaga."

Is she hoping to win an award for her performance as Mercedes?

"Kung bibigyan ako ng award, maraming salamat po. Maganda kung ma-appreciate nila kung anong ginagawa ko."

MIKO SOTTO. May 10 was a particularly sentimental day for Angel since it would have marked the birthday of her boyfriend, Miko Sotto, who died in December 2003.

"As much as possible, ayoko ko nang [pag-usapan] kasi baka ma-misinterpret ng mga tao, pero di naman nawawala ang communication naming dalawa.

"Pag may mga ganung bagay kasi, hindi mo naman nalilimutan."

PHIL YOUNGHUSBAND. Azkals football player Phil Younghusband recently admitted that he and Angel are already "exclusively dating" each other. (CLICK HERE to read related article.) However, he was conspicuously absent that night.

Angel explained, "Nag-congratulate siya, pero siyempre, premiere etiquette."

Would she be willing to join him when he watches the film?

"Nahihiya ako, e!" she said with a laugh.

She then declined to answer any more questions about Phil.

In the Name of Love, which is currently being screened in cinemas, has been graded B by the Cinema Evaluation Board.

SS501’s Heo Young Saeng almost killed Kim Hyun Joong?!

SS501′s Heo Young Saeng, who released a teaser for his solo debut last week, revealed that he almost killed fellow SS501 member Kim Hyun Joong by accident.

During a recent recording of KBS 2TV’s “Happy Together 3“, Heo Young Saeng confessed, “I almost killed Kim Hyun Joong by accidentally starting a fire”

He explained,

“One night, Kim Hyun Joong and I were drinking at our house. We often light candles at our place and so that day, without fail, we drank after lighting candles.

While we were doing so, an acquaintance called and asked me to come out for a bit. I ended up leaving Kim Hyun Joong who was sleeping to go out. As I was meeting with my acquantainces, I was shocked when I got a call saying that there had been a fire in our house.

I rushed home and saw that 9-1-1 had already come and it was a big mess. I was so worried about Kim Hyun Joong, who was sleeping inside the house, so I quickly went inside to find that Kim Hyun Joong was still sleeping, even though there had been a fire. He was safe, and the house didn’t get damaged that much either.

I was so sorry to Kim Hyun Joong who almost died because of me, but Kim Hyun Joong laughed as he said, ‘Well, you have a story to tell on broadcast now’.“

This broadcast of “Happy Together 3″ will air on May 12th.

Justin Bieber vomits during his Manila concert

Justin Bieber vomitted during a live performance in the Philippines on Tuesday (May 10).

The "Baby" singer was diagnosed with a bad chest infection ahead of his show in Manila but refused to cancel or cut his performance short, leading to him being sick backstage between songs.

A source told website Perezhilton.com: "Justin was advised to either cancel the show or do an abbreviated set, but he insisted on going on. So they cut down the show, but once the show started he kept going."

The 17-year-old pop sensation had been greeted by hundreds of screaming fans outside the city's SM Mall of Asia, and despite his illness he enjoyed the show.

He wrote on his Twitter page afterwards: "The streets of Manila are filled. this is crazy. great energy. Sick or not, that show went hard! That show was great but tough. real sick. time to rest. (sic)"

Justin later thanked fans for coming to see him, tweeting: "Thank You for always supporting me and helping me live my dream.

"Thank You for being the most loyal amazing fans in the world. Even when im sick feels good to come on here and see the love. gonna rest up and hope to get better. ITHANKYOU (sic)."

Justin has two days off before his next concert, and left the Philippines for Hong Kong at 10 a.m. local time today (May 11).

Despite still being sick, he signed autographs for fans at the exit of presidential lounge at the Manila airport arrival area and was the last to board his flight, which was almost delayed after passengers and airline personnel mobbed him to get his signature and photos.
