Lindsay Lohan pleaded no contest Wednesday to a misdemeanor theft charge involving a stolen necklace, the Los Angeles Times reports. The actress, who did not attend the hearing, was sentenced to three years probation and shoplifting counseling.

The plea comes three weeks after Lohan was sentenced to 120 days in jail and 480 hours of community service for violating her probation from her 2007 DUI case as a result of the alleged necklace theft. However, she is expected to serve a fraction of her jail time — perhaps about 14 days — due to jail overcrowding.
Lohan was accused of stealing a $2,500 necklace from a Venice, Calif., store in January, shortly after she was released from court-ordered rehab. The charge was originally felony grand theft, but it was reduced to a misdemeanor last month.

There's no word yet on when the actress will begin serving her jail sentence.
